Art Mart: Vendor Entries Being Accepted!
The Art Mart is a feature of Heritage Weekend that will highlight regional creative works for sale, especially in glass and metal. All media welcome, however.
Fee of $75 will be due upon registration.
The market will be located in the parking lot of the TW Phillips Gas & Oil Building at the corner of Main and North Streets.
Butler’s most recognized merchant Adam Troutman founded Troutman’s Department Store during the Civil War (1864), and it flourished under four generations of family ownership. The Butler City Building, on the corner of North and Washington Streets, was originally constructed as a single-family residence by George A. Troutman of A. Troutman’s Sons. Constructed in 1909, the building is a four-story brick and stone masonry structure of the Beaux Arts design, was considered to be one of the finest private residences in the City.
