SUMMARY:An Acoustic Evening with Tom Panei
DESCRIPTION:  \nEnjoy live music against the backdrop of the beautiful TW Phillips Building on Main Street. \nSince his high school days\, Tom has been an active songwriter. He performed with the infamous band The Acoustic Weasels (eventually truncated to The Weasels) during the early 1990s\, then formed and fronted the band Mind’s I in 1995. Mind’s I went on to release five albums: Where The Secret Lies (1998\, AFM Records)\, Fearless of Ever (1999\, Mind’s I Music)\, Mighty Shoves and Tiny Pushes (2000\, Onoma/CD Baby)\, Metamorphosis (2002\, Mind’s I/CD Baby)\, and Train Wreck (2010\, Mind’s I/CD Baby). \nIn 2014\, Tom released Acoustic Sessions\, his debut solo effort. In May 2020\, the first two Mind’s I albums were remastered and packaged with a previously unreleased recording of the track “Burn” for a digital-only release titled Back Catalog. \nTom continues to perform as a solo artist at bars\, clubs\, wineries\, county fairs\, and concert halls. Additionally\, he has hosted a series of successful concerts at his art studio in Butler\, featuring nationally renowned performers such as Scott Blasey and Shane Alexander. \n

DESCRIPTION:Join local historian and storyteller Bill May on Saturday\, July 11th @ 6:30 p.m. for his Historic Mansions of Butler Walking Tour. \n\n\n\n\nThe 90 minute\, 7/10 of a mile tour begins at the northwest corner of North McKean and Howard Streets takes participants on a tour of 20 homes of the historic neighborhood of North McKean\, East Fulton\, and East Pearl Streets. Participants will hear fascinating stories and see photos behind these beautifully preserved homes including Elm Court as well as their connections to Abraham Lincoln\, Mark Twain and John D. Rockefeller\, the Civil War and the Underground Railroad. The story of a local murder will also be featured tales! \nThe tour does not go into the homes. Rain date–July 12th @ 6:30 p.m. \nTickets are $20. All Sales Final! \nRESERVE EARLY ONLY 50 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD!
